I was behind. Way behind. 2 weeks and more behind on posting pictures. Which I bet you all thought that meant I wasn’t taking pictures. Well you would then be wrong. I was taking the pictures, I just wasn’t sitting down at the computer every day to put them on my website and make them all prettified.

So here goes my list of excuses as to why:
    1) I was sick, really sick, like am I dying sick? No no one knew the answer, but take a round of antibiotics and you’ll feel better. Obviously, It helped (I’m posting right?).
    2) My 4 year old daughter needed glasses. That seems like a triviality, but when you consider the appointments it takes and the effort of choosing them. Let’s just say it took some time.
    3) My Brother-In-Law passed. It was a hard time. We were away for a week.
    4) Now the sun is out… and I have no more excuses!

So bare with me! Catch up on all my pics and take a look at my March 10 on 10. Meanwhile I’ll be putting together my kitschy galleries of all the pics I want to put up but have no place to stick ‘em.

So today I not only posted my pic for my PaD but also finally tried a project I’ve been meaning to do for, ohhh about a year now. It’s called 10 on 10. You take 10 pictures on the 10th day of the month. They are not supposed to be spectacular pictures, they are supposed to be a chronological telling of your life. So if you are interested into a sneak peek of one of our days look under the Picture A Day tab and it will say 10 on 10 – February. There you will see a brief glimpse into my life along with some minute descriptions of the moment.

Well my Birthday weekend was spectacular! My rents came and watched my girlies whilst my husband and I galavanted in Hocking Hills. Now to my chagrin it did rain, rain and rain some more so the glorious picture taking weekend I had envisioned fell short. But a romantic getaway with just my husband and I was all I had hoped for and more.

But alas on Saturday I heard a crunching sound. Now unless you’ve held your “baby” (aka camera) in your hand and let it slip just two inches to the table below and heard the crunching sound, you really have no idea what I’m speaking of. But once it stopped raining on Saturday I figured cloudy skies and all I must get some pictures and while I was preparing my camera bag, I picked up my camera off the white table and allowed it to slip through my fingers and drop two inches away only to hear a stomach wrenching horrid sound of “CRUNCH”. And then it is too late. I cracked my LCD protector.

Now as it stands after much wailing, gnashing and hyperventilating. The camera is still in working order and I may be able to leave it as it is and call it “character” (aka cosmetic flaws). Cord Camera would gladly fix it for $295 but since the part is only $30 I think we will let it ride.

So that is my logic for my slacking in my PAD.

Well today is D Day and you know what it hasn’t been that bad! I’ve had great encouragement from wonderful friends and not to mention some absolutely fabulous chocolate with lovely ladies to round my day out!

My Picture for today is “The Original” at The Melting Pot being set on fire! Our waiter was a wonderful and patient guy who was willing to set the chocolate on fire 3 times for us so I could get the right shot!
