where I’m supposed to be….

Well it looks like our warm weather was deceitful, it came out to play for a week and then ran away. Hopefully as the sun’s rays start to warm the earth I’ll learn how to use them to my photo advantage.

So, I assumed that taking a picture a day would get easier. I would be more inspired. I would see the world through a different light. My dreams of being a photographer would ignite within me. I was wrong! Instead I have realized I know nothing about photography. I can’t get my white balance right, I struggle to tote my camera everywhere with me and I wonder if it’s worth it. But I have set a goal of 365 pictures and that I shall complete. Whether I’m happy with all the shots or not, I will complete the task at hand.

Yes that’s right I’m being lazy! I should be taking a new pic a day,,but this weekend is a stay at home in your sweat pants not leave the front door (except for swim lessons, which I was in the water so I couldn’t take pictures) eat junk food and watch movies till your gut busts and your eyes burn. Now, on Monday I will pay for this. I will regret no new pics, I will have remorse when I put jeans on, I will weep when my feet touch my scale and I will mourn that I have possibly lost opportunities to teach my kids. But for right now “It’s time to diem some carpe!” and snuggle on the couch!

When life gives you lemons, make lemon chicken piccata! Or at least that is what the Italians always say.

So on my new adventure and journey to become a grand amateur photographer I get 4 days in and am with no camera! Time for some decision making. Do we A) Quit, it was a silly idea anyway B) Start again at a later time C) Use the old, trusty, not as many pixels and has been around the block a few times Sony or D) Sit on my laurels and ponder it for a few more days?

Luckily I went with C! Now the pictures aren’t as spectacular and the pixel devils are still out to get me, but we are sticking to our goal of putting a PAD out! Granted I pull it out for Halloween pictures, snap one photo and the battery dies, but hey I got one shot of the girls all dressed up right?

Well today is D Day and I’m actually pretty excited! I got a new swanky flash for my camera from my hubby. I’m hoping to use it tonight for my first pic post for my pad.

The beginning of a new decade of my life and a new chapter in my hobbies begins in a few days and I am NERVOUS.
